Throughout his life, Gabriel (a pseudonym) has only encountered animals in children’s books, prints, and on television. He delights in hearing us sing “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” and chuckles whenever we mimic animal sounds. Seeing animals in person seemed like a far-fetched dream but dreams do come true.
In collaboration with New Creation Community Services (NCCS), Gabriel had a once-in-a-lifetime experience at the zoo through the “Gift-A-Wish” program. Gabriel ‘s eyes sparkled as he fed an elephant and a giraffe. It was truly a heartwarming sight.
Children like Gabriel, due to their complex medical conditions, rarely have the opportunity to venture beyond the nursing home and experience the world. At Singapore Christian Home, we aim to change this. We believe every child matters, and their dreams are worth pursuing.
Thank you NCCS for creating a magical experience for our beloved child, Gabriel. We believe he will carry this memory along with him forever.
